What are some entertainment ideas for an anniversary party?
Q. I need suggestions for entertainment for a small anniversary party. It is my In-Laws' 30th anniversary and we are expecting about 50 guests. We have a slide show prepared with pictures of them throughout their courtship, wedding and through the present. Any other ideas? Thanks.

A. you could hand out a "Bob & Gayle" Trivia sheet- write out a bunch of trivia type questions about them throughout the years- where did they go on their first date, who was the maid of honor at their wedding, what is Gayle's pet peeve about Bob, what is Bob's favorite meal Gayle makes him, etc. hand them out to everyone- set a time limit- then have a special prize for the winner like a nice candle or gift certificate to someplace. everyone will want to be chatting around, so I really don't think you need much "entertainment" for the party. just have stuff to keep the kids occupied like coloring books and small games. have music on in the background during your event also.

What is the difference between art and entertainment?
Q. Art and entertainment are both things that are perceived. Good art and good entertainment both produce a satisfying experience for the beholder. What is the difference? Everyone has raised some interesting points but I still haven't found an answer which really explains it. Some of you have characterized art requiring a creative process but so does entertainment. Also some have said art is expression but entertainment can also be expression. What is considered entertainment on a cruise?
Q. Most cruises say that food and entertainment are included, but what is the entertainment? If I want to take a class, see a movie, go to the spa, are those things included? Please let me know! Also, if they aren't included, please let me know how much they generally are, and what other things there are to do. Thanks!

It may vary from cruiseline to cruiseline, but most of the major ones have Broadway type shows, variety acts (magicians, comedians, musicians, etc.), karoake, lounge acts, game shows with passengers as contestants. These are usually free of charge. Just about every cruiseline has TVs in the cabins. But don't expect to get network TV. You'll get programs that are featured on the satellite service that cruiseline has bought. You may be able to see fairly recent movies on your set as well as on a large screen in a lounge or theater. Most cruiselines don't charge for special programs or movies. Some Princess ships have a feature called "Movies Under the Stars" where you can watch movies and other shows outside by the pool.
