An audience is a group of people who participate in a show or encounter a work of art, literature (in which they are called the "reader"), theatre, music or academics in any medium. Audience members participate in different ways in different kinds of art; some events invite overt audience participation and others allowing only modest clapping and criticism and reception.

Media audiences are studied by academics in media audience studies. Audience theory also offers scholarly insight into audiences in general. These insights shape our knowledge of just how audiences affect and are affected by different forms of art.

If an audience is opposed to what you have to say or resistant to a change you are suggesting?
Q. I have a question for my english class. I am stumped on this question. If an audience is opposed to what you have to say or resistant to a change you are suggesting, a good approach is to: be as ambiguous as possible to avoid offending the members of the audience. begin the message with something both you and the audience can agree upon. try to convince the audience that your solution is perfect and that there are no other alternatives. deliver all aspects and details about the message at once to get it all out in the open.

A. I think all of the above is a valid approach. However it is also important to look at things from their point of view. You have to clearly demonstrate why your idea is good for THEM and why it is better than any other. You have to be receptive regarding of what they consider their best interest... they might feel differently about that than you. Address all key elements without going into boring details and make sure that they understand that you are keeping the group's best interest in mind, and not necessarily your own. Best of luck!

What features of Japanese language would interest the audience at a seminar?
Q. i'm a linguistic student and going to give a talk on one of the unique features of japanese language. so i'm wondering what topic would attract the audience the most. i'm thinking of its case-marking system, honorific speech patterns, and so on. it would be great if you could tell me what topic would interest you that most if you were to be at a seminar as one of the audience. thanks!

A. I think the honorific speech pattern is the most interesting aspect of the language, and one of the more unique parts to it as well. The varying levels of it are very interesting and a particularly hard area for all learners of Japanese to grasp. Because not only does Japanese have informal and formal speech varieties, but it also has honorific and humble, and even allows you to be honorific AND informal. The grammatical patterns for honorific speech (and, for some verbs, how the entire verb itself changes) is very interesting. However, trying to convey all this information clearly to an audience that has never studied Japanese will be difficult for you.

How do you get Hannah Montana audience tickets?
Q. How do you get tickets for the live audience shows? I've checked ticketmaster, tvtix, ebay, and pretty much every single ticket seller on the internet! I don't really like her but they are for my sister who LOVES hannah montana! Thanks!

A. My friend went to the Hannah Montana concert this year and received her tickets through Ticketmaster. I think you probably can't find them, because you have to buy the tickets very far in advance. Also, her shows may not be until the summer, or during the fall. For instance, my friend also got to go to the live High School Musical tour, and she got the tickets through Ticketmaster!
